Learner driver crashes car into stream after losing control on roundabout during lesson

A learner driver was left red-faced and her instructor terrified after she lost control of the car and flipped it into a stream.
The hapless woman was negotiating a roundabout in the Toyota Yaris when she smashed through park railings and down an embankment.
The runaway car landed on its side in a narrow brook after the freak accident on Thursday evening.
Firefighters, paramedics and police dashed to the scene in Nottingham where they cut the learner out of the car.

Her instructor had managed to free himself.
Both were rushed to hospital but neither were seriously hurt and were discharged later that night.
One eyewitness said: “It’s a shame for the driver - something like this is really going to put her off.”
