Married Kentucky anatomy teacher, 24, accused of having sex with her 16-year-old student during summer break at state park
A married
Kentucky high school teacher has been suspended with pay after allegedly
meeting up for sex with one of her students during summer break.
Brandi
Whitaker, 24, of Richmond, Kentucky, is accused of rape, sexual abuse
and sodomy after supposedly meeting an unidentified male 16-year-old at
Fort Boonesborough State Park in June and her home in July.
One
parent said that the incident is the third time in the last ten years
that a teacher has been accused of having sex with a student at Madison
Southern High School.

The alleged abuse is said to have
occurred this summer, with the first incident happening at Fort
Boonesborough State Park in June. The park includes a replica of the
fort built there by Daniel Boone
Whitaker, who taught biology and anatomy/physiology reported admitted to having sex on two occasions, according to WKYT.
Madison County Schools said it was cooperating with the investigation.
The
age of conset in Kentucky is 16, though rape, sexual abuse and sodomy
laws still apply if the alleged victim is under 18 and the person was in
a position of authority.

Whitaker began teaching at the school during the 2014-2015 school year, according to her LinkedIn.
All of the charges against Whitaker are Class D felonies, punishable by up to five years in prison each.
'this
is the third time in less than ten years, the third teacher the third
student,' the mother of a Madison Southern teenager told Lex18.
