The federal government has fired five directors at the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) for what has been reported as illegal recruitment exercise.

The directors were sacked with immediate effect, according to the Abuja Facts.
It was learnt that the directors were actually appointed against civil service rule and were found guilty of employment irregularities after investigation. One of the rules under which they were sacked, according to reports, is that they were above 50 years old as against the public service rules. According to findings, the affected directors were appointed during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
